#1. The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
We love Jasper Park Lodge or JPL since it feels like a second home to us. We understand the property well after photographing over 300 weddings there throughout the years. An elopement for two people or a big wedding party of up to 500 people may easily be hosted on the premises. JPL has the most selection for both indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception sites, as well as a wide range of packages to choose from. You can’t go wrong with Jasper Park Lodge, no matter what you want: the vast openness of the Whister Plateau or the charm of a sundeck. They have some of the most experienced wedding planners around, and they’ll take care of everything for you from flowers to your wedding commissionaire. Don’t forget your photographers! #2. The Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre (Forest Park Hotel)
For receptions, our favorite location is this Jasper wedding venue. The arrangement of their basement is ideal since it allows you to have your cocktail reception outside the dinner reception and then reveal your beautiful room once the doors are open. The stunning dining room is ideal for making your grand debut as a married couple. The crystal chandelier adds warmth and refinement to the space, while the readily accessible slide screen allows guests to view a slide show from the comfort of their tables. This is a dream location for a reception for photographers. It also has an amazing dance floor to let loose on. The Chief Paul Ballroom may accommodate up to 250 people.

#3. The Athabasca Day Use area
Locally known as the airfield, this Jasper wedding venue booked through Parks Canada has become one of the most popular outdoor locations. It is absolutely beautiful and easy to access. It is about a 10-minute drive East of Jasper and has bench seating for up to 120 people. There are 3-time slots available to book throughout the day. It offers many locations to take photos of family and the wedding party after the ceremony. It is one of the few locations booked through Parks Canada that is private as well as very reasonable in cost to book. One thing to keep in mind is that there can be a lot of mosquitoes at times, so come prepared!
#4. Pyramid Lake Resort
Oh Pyramid Lake Resort, what beautiful mountain and lake views you offer! This is one of Jasper’s most popular wedding reception venues all year round. You have the choice of the Columbia Room for smaller weddings and the Pines Dining Room which holds up to 70 guests comfortably. Not only are the views stunning, but the food is also amazing here too. If you have a huge dancing crown, this venue might not be your best choice.
Please note that Pyramid Lake Resort is undergoing renovations and will be unavailable for weddings until later in 2023.
#5. Jasper Inn and Suites
This reception venue is often overlooked but is really a little hidden gem. Located upstairs at the Jasper Inn, it offers a private room that can hold up to 50 guests comfortably. It offers a full-service bar and a hardwood dance floor. Our friend and head chef Toby offers some of the best short ribs in Jasper. They also have an outdoor terrace that is available in the summer for small weddings. We have not photographed many weddings here, but feel that it is certainly worthy of being considered as a beautiful Jasper wedding venue.

#6. The Overlander Mountain Lodge
While not located in Jasper, it is just a short 30-minute drive. It is well worth checking out if you are looking for a unique and intimate setting. We just love the atmosphere, the staff, and the FOOD! The Stone Peak Restaurant has won several awards over the years for its wine and food and they never fail to deliver on this front. We have photographed many weddings here over the years and always enjoy the staff as well as the intimacy of the main lodge. If you are looking for a truly unique mountain wedding with amazing food and wine, look no further.
#7. Maligne Canyon Wilderness Kitchen
Maligne Canyon Wilderness Kitchen is a stunning wedding venue located in Jasper, Alberta. Surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains and breathtaking views of Jasper National Park, Maligne Canyon Wilderness Kitchen provides an unforgettable backdrop for your special day. Its rustic yet modern design features an open-air reception area. It overlooks Maligne Canyon, creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that your guests won’t soon forget.
The Jasper Canyon Wilderness Kitchen has all the amenities you need to make your event truly memorable. The venue offers a spacious room with seating for 70-140 guests along with a variety of catering options for your reception meal.
This venue also boasts a large outdoor patio making it a perfect summer reception area. In the middle of the room, there is a cozy fireplace that will make everyone feel warm and happy on the cooler days or in the evening.

8. Pyramid Island Wedding Site
Located on the shore of Pyramid Lake Island, this ceremony location is one of the most popular in Jasper. With stunning views and open-air seating for up to 50 people, it makes a beautiful but very busy outdoor wedding venue. The walk across the long and rugged bridge allows an opportunity to make a grand entrance and for time to contemplate quietly before the ceremony. Though the area is not private and often is quite windy, its location ensures that you’ll have plenty of natural beauty surrounding you and your guests. Due to its popularity, this venue should be booked as far in advance as possible through Parks Canada.

How To Select Your Perfect Jasper Wedding Venue
Venue Size
Look at how many people you’re planning to invite to your wedding versus the number of people the venue can comfortably cater to. A crowded reception can be quite uncomfortable. If a venue is too large, it can affect the atmosphere and the overall look and feel. Put an initial guest list together before you start venue shopping so that you can make a better decision. Both The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and The Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre can host large weddings. Pyramid Lake Lodge and the Jasper Inn are better suited for more intimate weddings.
Local Vendors
You’re going to be working with several different vendors in the time leading up to and on your wedding day. Many venues will recommend the best local vendors that have experience working in Jasper. Find out about this before you make a decision on who you are going to hire. If they do work with specific vendors, make sure that you’re happy with their experience, style, personality, and pricing. When a venue works with preferred vendors, it does mean they’re confident in their experience and ability to deliver. It is always a good idea to trust the suggestion of your venue.
